All spine surgeries performed at The Bonati Spine Institute use The Bonati Procedures. The Bonati Procedures employ a patented method with patented specialized instruments. The patented method and instruments to decompress nerve roots in the spine include a series of dilating tubes along with the FDA approved Holmium YAG Laser and instruments specialized for the procedure being performed.Each procedure begins when the patient is administered local anesthesia.
Since only local anesthesia is used, the patient is awake and is able to verify when the nerve is decompressed and no longer causing pain. The working tube is then withdrawn and a suture is used to close the less than one inch incision.
