The Bonati Institute® Congratulates Its Senior Olympic Gold Medal Winner
Agnes Green, M.D., Wins Gold and Bronze Medals
September 2, 2009 - - Hudson, FL –The Bonati Institute, the leader of advanced spine surgery, is proud to announce that anesthesiologist Agnes Green, M.D. brought home a Gold Medal in the Discus Throw and a Bronze Medal in the Shot Put Competition at this year’s Senior Olympics held in Palo Alto, CA, August 1 – 15. In her final championship throw of the discus, Dr. Green beat out the reigning masters discus champion with a throw of 91 feet 4 inches.
“We are proud of Dr. Green’s accomplishments at the Senior Olympics. She is an example of how perseverance, vision and living a healthy lifestyle has created a vital new paradigm for those over the age of 50,” commented Alfred O. Bonati, M.D., creator of the The Bonati Procedures and Chief Surgeon at The Bonati Institute.
Approximately 15,000 athletes, all 50 and older, participating in 18 sports, plus three demonstration sports, attended the 2009 Summer National Senior Games – the Senior Olympics. Over 35,000 visitors attended the 15 days of competition.
The National Senior Games Association (NSGA) is a non-profit member of the United States Olympic Committee dedicated to motivating senior men and women to lead a healthy lifestyle through the senior games movement.
