Dr. Jeffrey S. Walker Joins the Bonati Institute

Dr. Jeffrey S. Walker has joined The Bonati Institute in Hudson, Florida as a Neurosurgeon. Dr. Walker was certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery  in September 1988 and most recently served on the staff of Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital in Yakima, Washington. Prior to that, Dr. Walker was affiliated with St.Anthony’s Hospital, Northside Hospital, All Children’s Hospital, Bayfront Medical Center and St. Petersburg General Hospital, all in St.
Petersburg, Florida.

Dr. Walker received his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. During his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Walker also served as a surgical assistant to the world-renowned Dr. Denton Cooley at the Texas Heart Institute. He completed his internship in Rotating General Surgery at the University of Florida, College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida in 1980 and completed his residency in Neurosurgery at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina in 1985. 

Along with his professional medical associations, Dr. Walker has been active as a board member of the Pinellas County Education Foundation and founded Walker’s Rising Stars Scholarship Competition for the Arts.

As to why he chose to join the staff of The Bonati Institute, Dr. Walker stated that: “I have been closely following the remarkable results that this facility and these procedures have produced. The results have convinced me that these minimally-invasive endoscopic spine surgeries are the best option for treating pain from stenosis, herniated discs, degenerative disc disease and failed previous “open” back surgeries. In my estimation, these procedures are the world standard for laser spine surgery.”
