Pinched Nerve Symptoms
The symptoms of a pinched nerve may vary, depending on the location of the nerve or nerves involved.
Some symptoms may appear as:
- burning
- numbness
- tingling ("pins and needles")
In some cases, symptoms may include a combination of these sensations, depending on the extent of the damage and the compression of the nerve.
Most people have experienced the symptoms of a pinched nerve when an extremity — for example, a hand, foot, or leg — "falls asleep."
To alleviate these symptoms, a change in body position is usually all that is required.
In the case of a pinched nerve in the back, however, further measures may be required.
